The Problem We Solve

A Digital Economy With No Digital Home

Every Caribbean government, bank, hospital, and business currently sends its most sensitive data to servers in Miami or Europe. No sovereignty. No local infrastructure. No choice.

GuyTech changes that — starting with Guyana, then the region.

Government Digitization
Guyana has committed to digitizing public services by mid-2026. Funded demand exists today.
Oil Sector Demand
ExxonMobil, Hess, and CNOOC need local data infrastructure for Guyana's 900K+ bpd operation.
Caribbean Regional Hub
30+ CARICOM nations routing data through Miami with no regional alternative.
Data Sovereignty
Guyana's Data Protection Act (2023) creates legal framework requiring local data residency.
Why Guyana — Why Now

The Right Country.
The Right Moment.

Guyana is experiencing economic transformation at a speed rarely seen in modern history. The conditions that make a data center viable — energy, demand, legal framework, and government will — have all aligned simultaneously.

Connectivity
Submarine Cable Ready
Georgetown has cable landing stations for three submarine cable systems: X-Link, Deep Blue One, and the Suriname-Guyana Cable — regional internet connectivity already in place.
Legal Framework
Digital Laws Enacted
Data Protection Act (2023), Electronic Transactions Act (2023), and Open Data Act (2024) create the legal foundation for sovereign cloud and data residency requirements.
Validation
Cerebras Already Here
Cerebras Systems signed a 100MW AI data center MOU with the Government of Guyana in November 2025 — the first major tech company to validate Guyana as a data center location.
Development Plan

Three Phases.
One Vision.

A disciplined phased approach that proves demand, builds credibility, and scales with Guyana's growing energy infrastructure.

Phase 1
Georgetown Colocation Facility
1MW Tier III equivalent colocation data center in Georgetown — carrier-neutral, connected to all three submarine cable systems. Serving government agencies, oil sector operators, and financial institutions. Target: Q3–Q4 2027 operational.
Now — 2027
Phase 2
Sovereign Cloud Platform
Claude AI-powered sovereign cloud platform layered on top of the physical facility — offering compute, storage, and managed AI services meeting Guyana's data protection legislation. Caribbean regional expansion to CARICOM nations.
2028 — 2029
Phase 3
Regional Campus & Hydroelectric Power
Capacity expansion powered by Guyana's 8.5GW identified hydroelectric potential. Potential island campus development using natural river cooling. Positioning GuyTech as the lowest-cost, greenest data center operator in the Western Hemisphere.
2029 — 2032

Leadership

Built by a Guyanese National. Built for Guyana.

GuyTech's competitive advantage begins with its founder. Edward Wilbert is uniquely positioned — a Guyanese national who spent 20 years mastering complex regulated operations in New York, now bringing that expertise home.

"I am a Guyanese man who spent 20 years mastering business in New York. I am taking everything I learned home to build something that has never existed in the Caribbean."

This combination — US business sophistication, deep regulatory expertise, operational leadership across 100+ person organizations, and Guyanese insider knowledge — is not something a foreign competitor can replicate from a San Francisco office.
